Tyler Pham

Tyler is a former division 1 player at UC Irvine and 2 time CIF champion in singles. He has coached as the assistant coach for UC Irvine's men's tennis team for 6 years after graduiating in 2016. He has coached multiple top 10 Southern California juniors as well as trained D1 collegiate athletes. Tyler has a great understanding on how to develop players on the tennis court as well as off the court.

Weina (a.k.a. Nana) Liu
professional coach
Nana Liu played with the national team and Junior national team in China. She grew up and trained with world-class players such as Li Na and Peng Shuai including other top Chinese players. She also was #1 Junior in China and top 5 ranked player in China. Nana trained in Australia for a half year with her Australian coach and competed in ITF and National singles & doubles tournaments. She has over 20 years of teaching experience, teaching in Beijing for 6 years and at the prestigious Chicago East Bank Club for 14 years where she was one of the most popular pros. Nana teaches all levels from beginner to advanced levels and all ages.

After immigrating to the United States and obtaining USPTA certification, he has been coaching all age groups in Irvine, California for the past 7 years. Mike Janicin
professional Coach
Mike Janicin grew up in Newport Beach, where he first discovered and developed his passion for tennis. As a player, Mike competed for four years at Corona del Mar High School, where he earned rankings of No. 45 in Southern California boys’ singles and No. 6 in doubles. He went on to play for the nationally ranked UC Irvine Men’s Tennis Team, which achieved a No. 4 national ranking during his time there. Mike graduated from UCI in 1992.

His coaching career began at Mission Viejo Tennis Center and Park Newport Tennis, before launching his own tennis business. After some time away from coaching, Mike returned to the court in late 2024 and has been a valued member of the Northlake teaching staff ever since. He is thrilled to be back sharing his love of the game with the next generation of players.
